This Christmas was a little different. The world has drastically changed since Christmas 2019. 2029 feels like it happened twelve years ago.

No big gatherings. No big family reunions. The effects of the pandemic are even more potent during the Holiday season. I can’t help but think how different the Holidays must feel for people impacted by the pandemic.

I was determined to not let the outside world ruin my inner happiness when it comes to Christmas. From the lights to the festivities to the music I love it all! My tree was put up before Thanksgiving. Every ornament and ribbon was placed intentionally. I was determined to make our home merry and bright as a stark contrast to the world around us.

I carefully picked outfits for our Christmas pictures so that I could create wonderful memories around this Holiday.

I hosted Christmas for my family for the first time. It was wonderful being around family and getting the kids open their Christmas gifts brought me more joy than opening my own.
Christmas isn’t about things. I’m simply happy I made it to the end of 2020 and still with some Christmas cheer.
Wishing you all Happy Holidays!
